RMS Retail Index

The reference index for reading, understanding, and steering the human dynamics of retail.

 

The RMS Retail Index is RMS’s biannual observation and analysis framework dedicated to the field realities of retail. It provides brands with a structured understanding of teams’ perceptions, expectations, and engagement levers, in order to inform HR, managerial, and operational decisions.

Our vision

We believe that retail performance cannot be measured through sales figures alone.

 

It is also reflected in team engagement, management quality, role perception, alignment with values, and the way field teams experience the company’s transformations.

 

The RMS Retail Index was designed to give brands a clear, regular, and objective reading of these human dynamics.

 

Its ambition is threefold: to highlight useful signals at an area level, to help each brand situate its own reality against a relevant benchmark, and to highlight the value of retail professions.
